Kludahk Trail June 2020

Set in the San Juan Ridge on south Vancouver Island, is the designated provincial trail that is the Kludahk. Starting the Trail at Meadow Cabin access, we steer west to finish 40km and 4 days later at WC2000 access. From subalpine climes, the trail cuts through remarkable west coast rainforests and boggy meadows to it end, however, it is bisected by logging roads, including a 2km walk on an active logging road to span the trail.

The photography - derived from over 900 shots - were shot with my Sony α6000 and f/3.5-5.6 16-50mm lens. As mentioned before, the attempt is more of a shotgun approach compared to my more precise work with a full complement of DSLR, lenses and tripod. There are a few shots made in the worst of conditions that come out foggy - I guess it tells of the heavy rainfall we endured.
